2. Laser cladding and repair technology for shaft parts
(1) Pre-treatment process: Degreasing, derusting, and sandblasting cleaning of the workpiece surface, further cleaning and elution pretreatment to clean the area that needs laser cladding, and flatten the area with obvious defects.
(2) Quality inspection process: Use magnetic particle inspection, fluorescent inspection, or indicator inspection to inspect the cleaned surface to confirm the existence of any obvious defect areas.
(3) Laser cladding: Using self-owned intellectual property right alloy powder for laser cladding, no preheating is required, no metallurgical cracks are generated, and the hardness reaches HRC63.
(4) Post-processing: Including grinding and finishing of the laser cladding area and post-processing; wear-resistant coatings are applied if necessary.
(5) Quality inspection and testing: The inspection method and steps are the same as step 2. After confirming that the surface of the laser-cladded part has no defects, inspection can be carried out. After the above processing procedures, the shaft parts can be restored like new ones.
3. Laser quenching/cladding of large gears
Laser quenching gears and gear rings have a small amount of heat injection, small thermal deformation of gears or gear rings, and do not damage the surface roughness of the tooth surface. Laser cladding technology can directly repair brittle fracture and other situations.
4. Laser quenching and repair technology for large gears
(1) Process flow: Install the large gear on the laser processing machine, apply light-absorbing coating to the tooth surface and journal part that needs laser processing, and use the laser processing program to perform quenching treatment on the tooth surface (tooth top, tooth root, etc.).
(2) Quenching process parameters: The hardness range of the tooth surface after laser quenching can be controlled between HRC35-45; the quenching layer depth is 0.4-0.6mm; the laser power is 2.0-3.5kw kilowatts; the quenching speed is 1050 mm/s. The control system is used to change the process parameters in sections to obtain the corresponding laser quenching layer. After laser quenching, even without tempering treatment, the surface roughness of the tooth surface remains almost unchanged.
(3) High-speed laser cladding machine laser cladding process parameters: The thickness of a single layer of laser cladding can be adjusted between 0.2-2.5mm as needed, and the hardness of the laser cladding layer can be adjusted between HRC25-60 according to the needs of the workpiece. Large steel gears can be directly spiral loaded without preheating. The spiral loading layer is uniform and continuous, without cracks, pores, and other metallurgical defects.
